PRICING  & ORDERING

 

Prices

All pricing is in New Zealand dollars and are inclusive of GST (New Zealand Goods and Services Tax of 15%).


While every endeavour is made to ensure accuracy of pricing on our website, we reserve the right to change pricing without prior notice. If there is a pricing error for something youve ordered, we will contact you within 24 hours of your order being placed to discuss if you wish to continue with the order.

 

Stock

All sales are subject to availability of stock. While most items on our website are stocked in our Christchurch  store, from time to time we may run out of particular items. In most cases we are able to obtain replacement stock within 1-2 weeks.  We will contact you within 24 hours of any likely delay, giving you the option to cancel the order, or wait for replacement stock. We have a good relationship with our suppliers and most items can be obtained with minimal delay. ____

 

Placing and Accepting Orders

Orders will not be despatched until payment in full is received and we're satisfied with the integrity of the order. Without limiting the Terms and Conditions herein, we will not be responsible for any loss or damage caused by late delivery or cancellation of an order or a product or arising from exercising our cancellation rights. Placement of an order by you constitutes an offer to enter into an agreement with us ("your offer"). We will email you an Order Confirmation for the sole purpose of confirming the details of your offer.

 

If you require an order urgently or if it needs to be received by a certain date (for birthdays, etc) please give us a call on 021 272 3710 and we will let you know how long it should take to dispatch your order and do our best to make sure you receive it on time.

 

Please ensure that you fill in the Name & Address and Delivery Address boxes if differing from the Name & Address

 

International Orders

Due to security issues and fraud we cannot accept credit cards outside the country of delivery, however the payment option Paypal can be used for International orders.

 

The price advertised might not be the same price charged to the Paypal account due to exchange rate fluctuations.  This means that  because we are based in New Zealand we have to convert your purchase to New Zealand dollars at the exchange on the day processed 

 

Order cancellation

We reserve the right not to provide goods or services or cancel orders (or part thereof) at our sole discretion at any time. If you need to cancel an order, please contact us immediately on 021 272 3710 Our agreement with you only comes into existence once we have both confirmed your order and your payment has been processed. Once we have accepted payment for an order, cancellation of the order is within our sole discretion. Orders that cannot be cancelled are subject to our policy for Returns and Exchanges.

 

Non-arrival or an order

It is your responsibility to inform us if an order does not arrive. Once we learn an order has not arrived by the due date, we lodge enquiries to ensure delivery occurs as soon as possible. We will not be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from late delivery. If an item is lost in transit, we will not despatch a replacement immediately. Replacement items will be despatched at our discretion.

We are unable give a guaranteed time or day of delivery.

Without limiting the operation of any other Terms and Conditions herein a) we will not accept liability for any loss or damage arising from a late delivery, b) you agree that late delivery does not constitute a failure of our agreement and does not entitle you to cancellation of an order, and c) we will not accept liability for any loss or damage arising from items lost, stolen or damaged after delivery has taken place.

Payment Details

To pay for your order you can either use a credit card or transfer the money via direct debit through your bank. Please note we only trade within New Zealand and in New Zealand dollars.

 

Credit Cards

Scudscooters accepts all major credit cards: VISA and MasterCard. Our online payment system at Scudscooters is completely safe, as all of your credit card details details are encrypted

 

Direct Credit

We accept payments via direct credit; this payment method may be a little slower as it will take a day or so for the payment to clear.

Delivery

When you purchase from our online store you will be able to choose from the following shipping options.

 

Processing

Please allow 1-2 extra days for processing. We always endeavor to ship orders the same day they are placed. There can be extra delay depending on when the courier picks up outgoing orders and once the packaged order is in the couriers hands it is unfortunately out of our control.

 

Free Pickup
Customer pickup (within 7 days) from our Christchurch store.

 

Courier  Delivery

It is your obligation to enter the correct delivery address details at the time of ordering. Should you enter the wrong address, we are not obliged to re-send the order to the correct address at our expense.

 

We have aligned ourselves with delivery partners who we believe will always do their best to deliver products by the estimated delivery date, but dates specified are estimates only.

We send products  by courier to physical addresses (not PO Box addresses) in New Zealand only and use Fastwaycouriers, they offer a fast and reliable service with track and trace at a good price. As soon as we receive your order

it will be sent off as soon as possible, deliveries are made Monday to Friday. 

When your order is shipped we will email an order confirmation to your email address, this will contain a tracking

number to use on our courier's website. As Fastway couriers use a track & trace system all items must be signed

for.  If you do not require this please leave a discription such as 'Leave on door' etc in delivery instructions

 

Combined Postage is possible.  The cost incurred will be automatically worked out at the shopping cart.

RETURNS & REFUNDS 

 

Returns

At Scudscooters, we offer a flexible returns policy and are happy to accept items back for a refund or exchange if the

Items purchased are incorrectly supplied or damaged/faulty upon receipt. These items must be clean, not covered in dirt and/or oil. Item CANNOT be returned or exchanged if the customer has simply changed their mind.

 

Please contact us  before you make a return as our help and advice may avoid you having to return the items (in the case of a fitting problem etc).

 

All returned items must:-

-          be returned within 30 days of receipt.

-          be in original, undamaged packaging.

-          not be fitted or used

 

As it is in our interest to have a happy customer, please be honest when dealing with us as we will endeavour to resolve any problem you have.

 

You may return damaged or faulty items goods, but you are responsible for all costs incurred in relation to any return

 

In cases that are not deemed to be valid we will contact you

 

Items Incorrectly supplied
If we have sent you an item which is different to what is listed on your invoice we will be happy to make an exchange and supply the replacement item. The replacement will be delivered Freight Free.

Items - Damaged/faulty upon receipt.

Once we receive the item returned by you, and agree that the item is defective or faulty, we will happily despatch your replacement item (subject to availability) or refund the original product price and delivery, via the original method of payment. Please allow up to 14 days for refunds to be processed upon our receipt of goods

 

Please note that all products that are found to be defective will incur the delivery costs of returning the item to Scudscooters Ltd.

 

If items are returned for any reason, we suggest that you ship the goods to us with a freight service that provides a Signature Required on delivery option. Please ensure you retain a record of your shipment until you have received your replacement or refund. Otherwise, if the returned item goes missing in transit to us, we will deem you not to have returned the item.

 

Remember it is your responsibility to ensure returned items are adequately packaged to avoid damage in transit. Please do not tape up, or attach labels direct to the retail packaging, please wrap the item first.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws in force in New Zealand and you irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand

 

New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993
The Consumer Guarantee Act sets out minimum standards for goods sold in New Zealand. In the event that goods sold are not of good quality or are faulty, the customer has the right to a repair, replacement or a refund.
 
New Zealand Fair Trading Act 1986
The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect the customer being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing; where the product was made; where the product is from; the meeting of New Zealand safety standards; availability of products in-store and the sales techniques used. The Commerce Commission enforces the Fair Trading Act 1986.

We are not involved in the selling or trading of personal information. We do not pass on your personal details to any other organisations. Any changes to our information collection policies will be posted on this page.

We treat all customer information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which constitutes part of our Terms and Conditions. We would like to assure you that we take your information and privacy very seriously. The following is a description of what we do and don't do with your details.

 

Information Provided by You

If you purchase items from Scudscooters Ltd to process your order, we need information such as your name, email or contact number, delivery address and payment details, We may subsequently require further details to enable the processing of orders. Information sitting on the Scudscooters website is protected by encryption and firewall technology.

 

Third party companies and individuals may be engaged to perform functions on behalf of Scudscooters, e.g. delivery, credit card payment authorisation Such information is only used to perform their functions. We will pass on any information relating to suspected fraudulent activity to appropriate authorities. If fraud or other crime is suspected, we will tell Police, Banks and other relevant authorities. We do manual checks to verify details of information given to us by customers.

 

Security

We want to ensure you can shop online with complete confidence. We take many measures to give absolute security to our customers in dealing with us.

 

Credit Card Security & Fraud

Our on-line credit card payment system is a dedicated secure encrypted module, using state of the art technology supplied and powered by DPS (www.dps.co.nz) and the Westpac. This is a complete and safe system to use your credit card to pay for your product. Your credit card details are completely safe and cannot be accessed. We chose DPS specifically and have invested in their services for your security and peace of mind when buying by credit card on-line.

The biggest issue with credit card fraud is created by access gained to your credit card details by other means. Your credit card details could be compromised and used to purchase goods without your knowledge. Our agreement with the Westpac provides that they can access and remove refund monies from our account where credit card fraud is alleged. Your bank will usually refund you immediately (less any charges they may have). Our business is a secure one. We do not want you to have any doubts about our reliability and credibility or fear that fraud could happen.
